WHEN?

The second annual Columbia Valley Smoke Show will run on June 1 and 2, 2024. Barbecue competitors are encouraged to arrive and set up on May 31  or no later than 11 am June 1.

DAY 1. June 1, The Smoke Show will run from 12 pm – 8 pm.

DAY 2. June 2,  The Smoke Show will run from 12 pm – 6 pm.

WHERE?

The event will take place in the Invermere Visitor Centre / Columbia Valley Chamber carpark and the adjacent Lake Windermere Lions Club Campground.

WHAT?

The Columbia Valley Smoke Show is a two-day BBQ festival with a sanctioned Kansas City Barbeque Society Master Series contest at its core. Pitmasters from across North America and local backyard warriors are invited to compete and can by emailing: lwdlions@gmail.com   Surrounding the competition is a family-friendly, community focused, food celebration… Barbecue, Brews & Mountain Views!

SATURDAY JUNE 1:

– Day 1 of the BBQ competition.

– Product Demonstrations from leading and boutique BBQ/Smoker brands.

– Demonstrations & Presentations from BBQ Pitmasters.

– Family Fun Zone (lawn games, arts & crafts, competitions).

– Local Market Vendors.

– Live Music Stage. ( 2 days, 5 local acts – today featuring Emma Kade, Radium Project and Two-Lane Blacktop)

– Authentic BBQ food prepared by Smokehouse 93 and The J2 Ranch

– Beer Garden: Beer by Arrowhead Brewery and mixed drinks by Taynton Bay Spirits

SUNDAY JUNE 2

– Day 2 of BBQ competition.

– BBQ Competition Judging

– BBQ Competition Award Ceremony

– Family Fun Zone (lawn games, arts & crafts, competitions).

– Famers Market

– Live Music Stage (featuring The Usual Suspects and L8)

– Authentic BBQ food prepared by Smokehouse 93 and The J2 Ranch

– Beer Garden: Beer by Arrowhead Brewery and mixed drinks by Taynton Bay Spirits

HOW?

The event will have 3 entry price options: $ 15 entry fee includes a brisket or pulled pork meal (with coleslaw and a non alcohol drink).  $ 12 entry fee includes a burger or brat (with potato chips and a non alcohol drink). $5 entry fee to the festival with no meal.   Tickets will not be sold prior to the event.   Cash or cards accepted at the gate.  All proceeds will be reinvested into future or on- going Windermere Lions’ community projects and events. . It is recommended that attendees bring cash.
